Problem
FileNet eProcess 5.0 - Customer is getting java.util.NoSuchElementException when going ito web page after installing patch 3
Symptom
Customer can go to other web server with eProcess 5.0 patch 1 without error.
Symptom:
The following error shows up in Java Console when the applet is loading.
java.util.NoSuchElementException
at java.util.StringTokenizer.nextToken(Unknown Source)
at sun.plugin.cache.JarCacheUtil.getJarsWithVersion(Unknown Source)
at sun.plugin.AppletViewer.appletInit(Unknown Source)
at sun.plugin.viewer.LifeCycleManager.initAppletPanel(Unknown Source)
at sun.plugin.viewer.IExplorerPluginObject$Initer.run(Unknown Source)
Cause
The error is occurring while the Plug-in is deciding whether or not to download the pw.jar file. A web server configuration may have caused the problem.
Resolving The Problem
Install new globalinfo.asp (rev. 1.20) in the web server. This version contains additional error handling to avoid the error message. This new globalinfo.asp will be included in eProcess 5.0 patch 5.
1. Stop the Router.
2. Stop IIS.
3. Install eProcess 5.0 patch 4
4. Rename the existing globalinfo.asp in \Program Files\FileNET\IDM\Web\IDMWS\Redist\WF_Extras into globalinfo.asp.old
5. Unzip the attached file dev.globalInfo.zip to \Program Files\FileNET\IDM\Web\IDMWS\Redist\WF_Extras
6. Rename the dev.globalinfo.asp into globalinfo.asp.
7. Start IIS.
8. Start the Router.
9. On the client machine, try accessing the eProcess web server (http://webservername/idmws) and verify that the java.util.NoSuchElementException error does not appear.
10. Try clicking on one of the eProcess consoles and verify that the logon screen appears.
11. Login and verify the eProcess application loads.
