Problem
There are discrepancies between the Hardware and Software guides for P8 4.5.1 and P8 5.2 regarding the versions of JRE supported with AE 4.0.2. The manuals currently state the following; P8 4.5.1: 4.0.2 AE - highest JRE 1.6-17 P8 5.2: 4.0.2 AE - highest JRE 1.6-35
Cause
Due to changes in how Hardware and Software requirements are documented, the latest supported JRE isn't documented in the Hardware and Software guides.
Resolving The Problem
IBM has confirmed that JRE 1.6.0-45 is supported with AE 4.0.2 for P8 4.5.1 and P8 5.2.
