Troubleshooting


Problem

The product supports Dojo Toolkit modules and features. However, some features are marked experimental, which means that the open-source community has identified possible API instability or incomplete testing for those modules, features, or both. Therefore, release-to-release compatibility of these items cannot be guaranteed by IBM.

Resolving The Problem

Individual functions and modules are marked experimental using the dojo.experimental() API. The dojox.* namespace is a collection of multiple libraries, each with varying degrees of stability. To determine stability for a given module, view the README text file within the libraries directory.

Some of the libraries are denoted as unstable or experimental. The purpose of these libraries and designations of unstable or experimental is to provide early access and garner feedback from the community on the viability of these widgets and the usefulness of these libraries. Based on the community feedback, these libraries may or may not be promoted to supported libraries in a future release.
