Troubleshooting
Problem
I configured remote syslog forwarding with many of the reverse proxy log files.
When I tried to remove an existing log file or add new log file on the Sources window, the operation was failed.
Just after pushing the Save button, the following error message was shown on the dialog window instantly.
Parameter is not valid: name
Cause
After sources of remote syslog forwarding were defined, I removed some of the reverse proxy instances even though which log files were member of sources.
The save operation on the Sources dialog checks the availability of each log file.
Diagnosing The Problem
Check whether all log files in sources are available.
Resolving The Problem
- On the Sources window, remove all of non-existing log files without pushing the Save button.
- Then, push the Save button.
- Deploy changes message is shown.
- Deploy changes
- Back to the Sources window and you can manipulate log files.
