Exporting historical meter readings

How To

Summary

To export historical meter readings from an IBM® Maximo® Manage enterprise system into IBM Maximo® Health or IBM Maximo® Predict, you must complete some additional configuration steps.

Steps

The following information is supplemental to the Required data article (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS7PRM_current/com.ibm.ah.doc/integrate/r_req_data.html). By completing the following steps, historical meter readings can appear in the Operational status section of asset records.
  1. Install the latest limited availability (LA) fix and interim fix for your Maximo Manage enterprise system and the Maximo integration framework. Installation instructions are located in the readme.txt file that is included in the fix file. These fixes create the following new integration components:

    MHASSETLOAD integration components
Object structure Publish channel Hierarchy? Processing class
    MHASSETLOAD MHASSETLOADInterface No

    psdi.iface.app.asset.MaxAssetProcess

  2. Complete the following steps in your Maximo Manage enterprise system to export the initial set of asset data and historical meter readings. If you already exported asset data, you do not need to delete that data.
    1. In the External Systems application, in the HEALTH external system, open the Publish Channels tab.
    2. In the Publish Channels table, click Select Channels, and then select the MHASSETLOADInterface publish channel.
    3. Click Data Export.
    4. In the Data export dialog box, specify any export conditions.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Return to the Publish Channels table, click Select Channels, and then select the MHMEASUREPOINTInterface publish channel.
    7. Click Data Export.
    8. In the Data export dialog box, specify any export conditions.
    9. Click OK.
  3. Verify the exported data. For more information, see Verifying exported Maximo Manage enterprise system data (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS7PRM_current/com.ibm.ah.doc/integrate/t_config_data_ex.html).
    • If you completed the integration by using JSON, use the following REST API call. Replace the host and port variables with your post and port: http://host:port/maximo/oslc/os/MHASSETLOAD?lean=1&oslc.select=*
    • If you completed the integration by using XML use the following REST API call. Replace the host and port variables with your post and port: http://host:port/maximo/oslc/os/MHASSETLOAD?lean=1&oslc.select=*&_format=xml
Use the MHASSET integration components to export updates to asset data and new meter readings.
