Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to export from Microsoft Word to IBM Rational DOORS results in the error "Compile error in hidden module: ExportButtonCallback".
Cause
The doors.dot file is missing from the default location.
Note: The default location of doors.dot file is different in Windows 7 machine when compared to a Windows XP machine.
- Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Microsoft \Word\startup
- Windows Vista and Windows 7:
C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\startup

Resolving The Problem
Apply the following steps to resolve :
- Copy doors.dot file from the location $DOORS_HOME\lib\word
For example: C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.3\lib\word
- Paste the doors.dot file to the Microsoft Word startup directory:
C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\startup
Note: You may need to manually enter AppData to the path instead of browsing to this directory since this can be a hidden folder
- Restart Microsoft Word after inserting the doors.dot file in the startup directory
- Export the Word document to Doors after restarting Microsoft Word
