Troubleshooting
Problem
When existing events are migrated from one server to another, the event will fail to open/load when a user wants to edit them
The Studio will launch and the loading screen freezes at about 40% and the studio never fully opens
Symptom
Existing Agents migrated from the source server will fail to launch Event studio
A user will be able to launch Event studio independently on the target release version.
The issue can be only reproduced against migrated event deployed from another server
Cause
The migrated Agents are not linked to any packages

Diagnosing The Problem
Is the user able to launch Event studio independently on the target release version instead ? yes
Resolving The Problem
Cognos Analytics versions 11.0.0-11.0.11

The option to relink a package from the properties of the event is not available in these release.
The following solution needs to be implemented to address the problem
1. Go to the Administration Console
2. In Administration, click on System from the left menu and select the “Set properties” option from the drop-down menu next to System
3. In the Settings tab, click on “Edit…” next to the advanced settings
4. Insert a parameter called “portal.disablecc” with a value of “false” ensuring they are both lowercase with no quotes
5. Once you OK out of the settings, restart your Cognos environment and go to the following URL: http://<servername>:9300/bi/v1/disp?b_action=xts.run&m=portal/cc.xts&gohome=
The above settings will enable the legacy UI portal which will allow the user the go to properties of the migrated events and relink the package to it's respective package
Cognos Analyics version above 11.0.11

1.Go to the properties of the migrated agents
2. Select Advanced--->General
Select Set on Source package attributes and link it to any package
3.Relaunch the existing event to test
