An example Java application for connecting to RhapsodyCL in socket mode

Question & Answer

Question

How do you make a remote client connection to RhapsodyCL using socket mode?

Cause

You want to connect as a client to RhapsodyCL in socket mode

Answer

RhapsodyCL can be used a remote TCP/IP server. This is known as socket mode.

The attached example (at the bottom of the page) demonstrates how to programmatically connect to RhapsodyCL in socket mode.
  1. Connect to RhapsodyCL using a Socket.
  2. Send a command via the socket using standard RhapsodyCL commands.
  3. Request the status on the previous task using the "GetCommandResult" command and listen for a return code reply.
