Problem

This document contains a chart to convert MAC addresses between Ethernet and token ring.

Resolving The Problem

Organize the MAC address in pairs. The first character will be found in the COLUMN. The second character will be found in the ROW.

Example

If the Ethernet adapter address is 10005A4DBC96, to convert it, break the address down into the bytes 10 00 5A 4D BC 96. Using the table above, the converted address becomes 08 00 5A B2 3D 69. The conversion must be done on both sides using the table above.
