Symptom
VMware ESXi 5.5.x or 6.x host encounters a stop error on a purple screen (also known as a purple screen of death (PSOD)) while the system is idle and VMFS partitions installed on Solid State Drive (SSD) technology hard drives.
Affected Configurations
The system is configured with at least one of the following:
- VMware ESXi 6.0, any model Any Update
- VMware vSphere Hypervisor 5.5 with IBM Customization Installable, any model, any Update

Solution
This issue is still under investigation.
Workaround
Avoid using Solid State Drive (SSD) Disk RAID as VMFS storage for VMware ESXi 5.5/ 6.0 host.
