Problem

Attempts to review RCR using IBM DOORS results in the error "You do not have sufficient access rights to review RCRs for module "

Symptom

The above error occurs when module is configured for Change Management and try to review RCR.

Diagnosing The Problem

In a group or user with read only access to a module follows these steps:

  1. Open DOORS local client
  2. Opens a module in read only mode
  3. Click on Requirements Change Request menu --> Review
  4. Selects an RCR to review
  5. Generates the following error:

    "You do not have sufficient access rights to review RCRs for module <Module_Path>"

Resolving The Problem

The RCR review feature displays added objects as they will be displayed when the RCR is applied. As a consequence, reviewing RCRs requires the user to open the module in the exclusive edit mode.
Therefore, the users or group with Read only permission to the module are not permitted to review RCRs.

To resolve the issue, assign user a Modify access to the module to review RCR.
