Troubleshooting
Problem
When attaching an SQL object to a query with a direct connection to the Oracle database, then copying and pasting manual SQL query error below is seen. "The request must contain a valid decribeDataSourceQuery element" Same error seen with simple SQL query. SQL works with no issue in Oracle SQL Developer.
Cause
DQM is not supported with custom SQL
Resolving The Problem
Set Report Server execution mode from 64-bit to 32-bit
