Problem
Error: 'No Configuration Management tool is set' in Synergy-Rhapsody integration.
Symptom
While working on a Telelogic Synergy and Rhapsody integration setup, attempts to right click on a project in Rhapsody and select Configuration management > Add to archive results in the error
No Configuration Management tool is set
Cause
The error appears because there is no tool set in Rhapsody for Configuration Management.
Resolving The Problem
Follow the steps given below to fix this error:
- Edit the factory.prp file located in the <RHAPSODY_HOME>\Share\Properties folder
- Edit the following entries under the ConfigurationManagement Subject in the Metaclass General option to contain the values as shown below:
Property UseSCCtool Enum "Yes,No" "Yes"
Property RunCMToolCommand File "ccm start -m"
- Save the changes and close the file.
- Restart the Rhapsody Client for the changes to take effect.
