Problem
The CRJZS5821E error is displayed in Rational Quality Management (RQM) Diagnostics page or The Data Collection Component (DCC) in IBM Jazz reporting Service (JRS) is stuck on 'initializing'
Symptom
We have observed two symproms in relation to this issue:
- The RQM Diagnostics displays the error:
ERROR com.ibm.team.jfs - CRJZS5821E The RDF index at <path to JazzTeamServer>\server\conf\<context reference>\indices\<RDF index identifier>\jfs-rdfhistory is corrupted.
After a restart of the WebSphere Application Server, the error disappears for a short time but will reoccur. - The DCC application appears to be stuck on initializing. When you review the dcc.log you see an error similar to the following:
ERROR com.ibm.team.jfs - CRJZS5821E The RDF index at /opt/IBM/JazzTeamServer/server/conf/dcc/indices/_-P33oeqyEeWWP-39nM43yA/jfs-rdfindex is corrupted.
java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Quad: object cannot be null
Cause
An RDF index is corrupted.
Environment
WebSphere Application Server
Diagnosing The Problem
Review the SystemOut.log and/or the dcc.log on the server to see confirm the error message.
Resolving The Problem
In order to correct the corrupted index, please perform the following:
- Stop the Jazz Team Server (JTS)
- Navigate to <path to JazzTeamServer>\server\conf\<context reference>\indices
- Make sure that those files are available for read/write and that there is enough disk space
- Rename the following directory:
<RDF index identifier> to <RDF index identifier>.old
- Run the Repository tools command to regenerate indexes:
For RQM run the command: repotools-qm -reindex all
For DCC run the command: repotool-dcc.sh -reindex all
- Start the JTS server
