Troubleshooting
Problem
When uninstalling a Manage 8.0.0 deploy from a Maximo Application Suite instance, an error message of code AIUCO1008E is displayed and Manage fails to be uninstalled.
Symptom
When using the action “Uninstall Application”, an error message is displayed :
AIUCO1008E: Application ‘manage’ is in use by the following workspaces: '['workspaceid']'.
Environment
Diagnosing The Problem
On an environment with Manage 8.0.0 activated, deactivating it and trying to uninstall application results in the error message being prompted on the screen.
Resolving The Problem
By executing the following workaround, the user should be able to uninstall the Manage application from the Maximo Application Suite instance:
Procedure
- Re-activate Manage through the Top-right drop-down button “Actions”, followed by the “Configure workspace” menu button.
- Click the blue “Activate” button in the “Configure workspace” screen.
- In the Openshift console, go to the workspace operator pod in the Manage project/namespace. The project name follows the naming convention "mas-{instanceid}-manage", and the pod name should be similar to "{instanceid}-entitymgr-ws".
- In the Terminal tab, run the following command. Substitute the {workspaceid} and {instanceid} to the values used for the user installation:
ansible-runner --role workspace-finalizer run roles --hosts localhost --role-vars 'instanceId={instanceid} workspaceId={instanceid} currentStatus={} appId=manage workspaceKind=ManageWorkspace ansible_operator_meta={"name":"{instanceid}-{workspaceid}","namespace":"mas-{instanceid}-manage"}'
- Go back to the Maximo Application Suite UI, and deactivate the Manage application by using the "Deactivate" button on the top-right drop-down menu "Actions".
- Uninstall Manage by using the "Delete Application" button in the top-right drop-down menu "Actions".
