Problem

IBM® Rational® ClearQuest® E-Mail Notification might fail if the Outgoing SMTP Server address is incorrect.

Symptom

This specific error is known to occur if the Outgoing SMTP Server address is incorrect.

Execution of a hook failed during the action Modify. It was the ACTION_NOTIFICATION hook attached to the Defect "". The reason for the failure was:
Error processing Email Rule "The EmailRule Name": "\b error description = An unknown socket error 11004 occurred."
