Problem
When we export documents from Rhapsody Gateway to DOORS the incorrect argument for function error/ undeclared variable error pop’s up.
Symptom
Error pop up on exporting requirements from Gateway to DOORS
Cause
This DXL error appears if there is a possible discrepancy with the dependency links that were created and deleted between the exports to the same document.
Example Scenario:
- Rhapsody project create a dependency <<trace>> link between the model elements and the requirements.
- Now reload the model in Gateway and Export this model to DOORS
- In Rhapsody delete this <<trace>> link that was previously created
- Reload the model in Gateway and perform Export to DOORS
The reported error message is likely to pop up as DOORS does not allow deleting incoming links. Only outgoing links are to be deleted.
Resolving The Problem
DOORS does not allow deleting Incoming Links, avoid deleting incoming links in the rhapsody model.
This is applicable to Rhapsody 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 versions.
In Rhapsody 7.5 this error has been fixed. The synchronize option can be used to update the links from Rhapsody Gateway to DOORS.
