Problem
Dump files and javacore txt files are being created in IBM Cognos Application Tier installation in bin64 folder.
Cause
Java runs out of available JVM memory.
When reports run with the delivery option to save the outputs in file system, outputs are copied into the JVM memory before being saved in the file system. Such usage requires more JVM memory for the Cognos service java.
Diagnosing The Problem
java/lang/OutOfMemoryError is indicated as the reason for the issue in javacore files
Resolving The Problem
Increase the JVM heap memory for WebShere Liberty profile in Cognos Configuration
