Downloading IBM MQ 9.2.0: Older LTS fixes

Download the latest IBM MQ 9.2.0 LTS base install image from Passport Advantage

To create a new installation, or if new operating system support is added to IBM MQ (for example IBM MQ 9.1.0.5 added RHEL 8 support to the Linux on x86 64-bit platform), download and install the LTS base install image from Passport Advantage then apply the latest fix pack or CSU to the new installation.

For this fix pack, the copy of the release on Passport Advantage was updated for the Ubuntu and Linux x86 64-bit platforms. For all other platforms, after you download and install the release, you need to get the fix pack from Fix Central and apply it to the installation.

Provided your IBM ID is entitled, click a part number in the following table to download either the full base install eAssembly, or any of the eImages that make up the full base install. Alternatively, sign in to Passport Advantage then search for the part number you need.

Downloading the release

You can download the release from the following locations:

• For Multiplatforms, provided your IBM ID is entitled, click a part number in the following table to download any of the eImages that make up the production release. Alternatively, sign in to Passport Advantage then search for the part number you need.

  Also available (subject to entitlement) are the IBM MQ Advanced certified container (CJ7CNML) and the IBM Aspera fasp.io Gateway (CJ77KML). Note that these two eAssemblies are delivered as Continuous Delivery images because of the pace of change in these areas, and because any given version of the certified container is supported for one year only.

  If you install IBM MQ eImages on an AIX or Linux-based platform, you must use GNU tar (also known as gtar) to unpack any tar images.

• For z/OS, sign in to Shopz, then choose the only available option: "Order the features as a new product install". Each of the PIDs in the following list has two separate orderable features: one for Long Term Support and one for Continuous Delivery. Use these PIDs to order the features you need:
  • 5655-MQ9 - IBM MQ for z/OS
    Provides IBM MQ capability, connectivity on and off the z/OS platform, and excellent integration with z/OS software, such as CICS®, IMS, WebSphere® Application Server, and Db2®. Licensed under a Monthly License Charge (MLC) model.
  • 5655-VU9 - IBM MQ for z/OS Value Unit Edition (VUE)
    Same functionality as IBM MQ for z/OS; licensed under a One Time Charge (OTC) model. Can coexist and interact with IBM MQ MLC offerings in other LPARs. Note that, from an installation perspective, the same FMIDs as for IBM MQ for z/OS are installed, then the QMGRPROD attribute must be set to VUE, which changes product usage recording for billing purposes.
  • 5655-AV9 - IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS
    Managed File Transfer (MFT) and Advanced Message Security (AMS) features plus, for Long Term Support, the Connector Pack. IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS does not include entitlement to run queue managers and so one of IBM MQ for z/OS or IBM MQ for z/OS VUE is a prerequisite. The Advanced Message Security feature does not require installation. Both the Managed File Transfer feature and the Connector Pack component are installed via separate FMIDs.
  • 5655-AV1 - IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS Value Unit Edition
    Bundling of IBM MQ for z/OS VUE and IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS. From an installation perspective, the same FMIDs as IBM MQ for z/OS VUE and IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS are installed. Once installed, the QMGRPROD attribute must be set to ADVANCEDVUE, which changes product usage recording for billing purposes.
• For the IBM MQ Appliance 9.2.0 firmware image, go to Fix Central . This firmware image can be applied to the M2000, M2001, and M2002 hardware models.
