IBM WebSphere eXtreme Scale now includes IBM WebSphere eXtreme Scale Liberty Deployment.
- IBM WebSphere eXtreme Scale is an elastic, scalable in-memory data grid that provides a key-addressable store of values or graphs. This product supports a processing unit state store for applications written in Java. You can replicate the data stored in the grid depending on availability requirements, and you can achieve out-of-the-box database integration.
WebSphere eXtreme Scale can be integrated with existing WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Application Server, Network Deployment installations or you can install the product separately, supporting both Java Platform, Standard Edition and Java Platform, Enterprise Edition application environments.
- IBM WebSphere eXtreme Scale Liberty Deployment provides Liberty caching servers, caching operation tools, an administration console, and out-of-the-box REST administration services based on the latest industry standards and specifications. Installation Instructions
Downloading and assembling the product
To access the IBM Passport Advantage Online website, you must have an IBM ID that is associated with the site number that was assigned to your company when you ordered the product. For more information about using Passport Advantage Online, see the Passport Advantage Online website.
1. Go to the Find Downloads and Media page on the IBM Passport Advantage Online website.
2. Search for WebSphere eXtreme Scale by a text search, and select WebSphere eXtreme Scale Multiplatform Multilingual eAssembly
3. Select the box for IBM WebSphere eXtreme Scale V8.6.1 Multiplatform Multilingual (CNGC3ML) and click I Agree.
4. Download the following ZIP file:

6. Add the repository in IBM Installation Manager:
7. Start IBM Installation Manager.
8. In Installation Manager, click File > Preferences > Repositories.
9. Click Add Repository.
10. Browse to or enter the file path to the repository.config file. The repository.config file is located in the directory where you extracted the compressed files.
11. Use Installation Manager to install the product from the local product repositories that you downloaded in step 2.
