Overview
IBM Security Identity Manager provides the software and services to deploy policy-based provisioning solutions. This product helps companies to automate the process of provisioning employees, contractors, and business partners with access rights to the applications they need, whether in a closed enterprise environment or across a virtual or extended enterprise.

System requirements
For information about system requirements, see the IBM Knowledge Center. In the Knowledge Center, select the appropriate version of the product, and then select Product Overview > Hardware and software requirements.
Downloading and assembling the product
- Use the tables in this document to find the eAssembly or part numbers of the downloadable images that you need.
- On the Passport Advantage website, use the numbers to search for the downloadable images. You can search for either the eAssembly number or individual part number.
- Download all of the parts that you need, both required and optional. The parts are described by platform in the tabbed sections of this document.
- Unpack each of the parts into a temporary directory on your computer.
- Follow the instructions in the IBM Security Identity Manager Quick Start Guide to install the product.
