Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to archive a project in IBM Rational DOORS results in the error "Invalid Lock Request - data is already locked" and fails to create the archive.
Symptom
You have permission to archive data and the project is not opened or in use.
Cause
Unknown
Resolving The Problem
Steps to resolve:
- Ensure all users are logged out
- Stop the DOORS database server
- Locate the file servdata.dtc in the DOORS database server data directory
- Remove the file or rename it to servdata.dtc.old
Note: Do not under any circumstances remove/rename the servdata.dtc file while the server is running or the database will be corrupted. Contact your local Support organization if in any doubt before proceeding.
- Locate and delete the files dbdata.lck and servdata.lck
- Restart DOORS DB server service
