How to make use of the HTTP proxy and additional DNS support that was added to the 8.3.1.3 PTF
Steps
A number of IBM support services require firewall holes to be opened between the Spectrum Virtualize storage device and IBM servers. By adding support for a HTTP proxy most of these firewall holes can be removed, and this change was added to the 8.3.1.3 PTF. This support is command line only. GUI support was added in 8.4

The 8.3.1.3 PTF also added support for using DNS names instead of IP addresses when configuring LDAP and NTP servers. This support is CLI only, and may cause errors when using certain panels the GUI. V8.4 adds GUI support as well as other minor enhancements.
- To configure a LDAP server, use mkldapserver -ip myldapserver.myorg.com
- LDAP server names must not exceed 256 characters

To configure a NTP server, use chsystem -ntpip myntpserver
