Question & Answer
Question
Customer would like some 'best practice' guidelines on how to import Journals into IBM Cognos Controller.
Cause
Cognos Controller provides a means for importing journals.
- You can access this function under "Transfer/External Data/Import General Journals".
Once the information is moved into Cognos Controller (via generalised interface) it is treated like any other data.
- For example, you can make changes to the data if it contains mistakes.
Answer
See the Proven Practice guide "Importing of Journals" (attached to this Technote).
