Troubleshooting
Problem
Upon connection to a database using DB2 Control Center from a client machine to a new DB2 for z/OS system error DBA7908E may be returned.
Cause
While attempting to connect to a new DB2 for z/OS subsystem database and after creating both DSNUTILS and DSNWZP as required to enable Control Center interface the following errors may be returned:
DBA7908E
Some of the functions are not available because a set of stored procedures has not been installed for "Database". The following stored procedures may be missing: ""
[IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] DBRM OR PACKAGE NAME DB.NULLID.SYSSH200.5359534C564C3031 NOT FOUND IN PLAN . REASON
Resolving The Problem
The SYSSH200 is a CLI package, the binds need to be run from the client to each subsystem being accessed. Therefore to try and resolve the problem please run the bind list ddcsmvs.lst from the v9.7 client:
1.) db2 connect to <database in question>
2.) cd to the bnd directory
3.) db2 bind <install_path>/sqllib/bnd/@ddcsmvs.lst blocking all sqlerror continue grant public
4.) db2 terminate
Once the above steps are done please try going back into Control Center and attempt to connect to the database in question.
