Abstract
DB2 Content Manager Version 8.4.1 text search user defined functions require the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 runtime library.
Content
Beginning with DB2 Content Manager Version 8.4.1, the DB2 Content Manager for DB2 text search User Defined Function (UDF) ICMFetchFilter uses the Oracle Outside In Technology library version 8.2.2 that requires the 2005 Visual C++ runtime library msvcr80.dll version 8.0.50608.0 (SP1) or later.
If your system does not have this library, you will receive the following DB2 Net Search Extender (NSE) error:
CTE0100 A DB2 operation failed. DB2 information: "42724" "[IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/NT] SQL0444N Routine "ICMFETCHFILTER" (specific name "SQL090305040834900") is implemented with code in library or path "\ICMNLSUF", function "ICMfetch_Filter" which cannot be accessed. Reason code: "99". SQLSTATE=42724

When this problem happens, you must install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 (or later) Redistributable Package, available from Microsoft. There are three versions of this package (x86, x64, and IA64) for each corresponding version of Windows, but note that DB2 Content Manager does not run on the Windows IA64 system. These packages can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads by searching on the site for the packages vcredist_x86.exe or vcredist_x64.exe. The required version of each of these downloads is the 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package.
