Problem
The Db2 fix pack v11.5.xfpx_<server>_universal_fixpack.tar.gz does not appear under Manage > Operations > Apply Db2 fix pack > Fix pack list of the IBM® Cloud Pak System 2.3.2.0 user interface on the deployed IBM® Db2 BLU Acceleration Pattern V1.2.11.0 virtual system instance.
Symptom
The following symptoms describe the Db2 fix pack upgrade operation:
- The Db2 fix pack v11.5.xfpx_<server>_universal_fixpack.tar.gz for Database version shows 11.1 instead of 11.5, which was uploaded to Catalog > Db2 Fix Packs.
- From Manage > Operations > Apply a Db2 fix pack, the v11.5.xfpx_<server>_universal_fixpack.tar.gz fix pack does not appear on the Fix pack list.
Resolving The Problem
This issue is fixed in Db2 pattern type V1.2.11.1, and the fix is uploaded to IBM® Fix Central. For more information, click the following URL:

For all new deployments or to update existing deployments (by using the Check for Updates option) to V1.2.11.0, use Db2 pattern type V1.2.11.1 instead of V1.2.11.0.
Note: In the AIX environment, before you proceed with the fix pack installation to 11.5.6.x or later, check that “/var” has a minimum of 3 GB space, else the upgrade might fail with the following message:
DBT3571E The db2prereqcheck utility found that the directory "/var" does not have enough free space on host "xxxxxxxxxxx". Required space: "2000000 KB". Actual space present: "923916 KB".
Prerequisites:
The Db2 pattern type V1.2.11.1 does not bundle the Db2 images. Therefore, Db2 pattern type V1.2.11.0 and the corresponding binary files of Db2 V11.1.4.5 and Db2 V11.5.0.0 are the prerequisites for this pattern type version to be used.
The Db2 pattern type V1.2.11.1 does not bundle the Db2 images. Therefore, Db2 pattern type V1.2.11.0 and the corresponding binary files of Db2 V11.1.4.5 and Db2 V11.5.0.0 are the prerequisites for this pattern type version to be used.
