IBM Support

Customized helpers are disappearing from an IBM Rhapsody project

Question & Answer

Question

Why am I not able to see the helper I created the next time I open Rhapsody?

Answer

When a Helper is created in Rhapsody the information about the Helper is written into the rhapsody.ini file for the user. If the user does not have WRITE permissions to the rhapsody.ini file, the file will not be updated with the Helper information.

The user may not have WRITE access to the rhapsody.ini file due to an improper installation.
