Question

How to create an Audit Process workflow and how can we get the result report? What if we want to purge the result report files without exporting?

Q1. How to create an Audit Process workflow?
A1. The product manual provides a step-by-step instruction for creating an Audit Workflow. Please refer to the following page:

Q2. How to export the result reports from the appliance to other host?
A2. You can export the result reports by accessing Administration Console > Data Management > Results Export (files) from Guardium GUI. Please refer to the following product manual page for details:
Results Export (CSV, CEF, PDF)

Q3. How to purge the result report files from Appliance?
A3. Files are automatically purged after these are exported by Results Export.

Q4. Is there any way to purge files without exporting for some maintename purposes?
A4. We don't have a GUI feature to purge the result report files without exporting. If this is really need for maintenance purpose, the following step would be a possible solution:
1. Run 'diag' utility from CLI console.
2. Select '4 Perform Maintenance Actions', then press OK.
3. Select '3 Clean disk space', then press OK.
4. Select '/var/tmp', then press OK.
5. Specify '.gz' as a search string, then press OK.
6. All the *.gz files will be listed. Check the list and press OK.
7. Press Yes if you'd like to remove all the listed files. Press No if not.
8. Press OK and press Cancel twice to quit the utility.
If you remove the files, the diag utility will notify you that:
'It is highly recommended that the system is restarted at this point to ensure that all the process related files are reset.' Please restart the system as recommended.
