Controller accessories for the Netfinity 5000

Note: The Netfinity 5000 has two integrated Wide Ultra
SCSI channels. One is internal and the other is external with a
68-pin High Density connector.

Notes:
(1) Netfinity ServeRAID-3HB Ultra2
SCSI adapter provides one internal and 2 external (0.8-mm VHDCI)
LVDS SCSI channels. The internal channel can be configured for
external usage (0.8-mm VHDCI) providing a total of 3 external LVDS
SCSI channels. Includes 32MB of mirrored battery-backup cache which
helps protect against data loss in write-back cache mode in the
event of a power outage or adapter maintenance.

(4) The Netfinity ServeRAID 3H 32MB
Battery-Backup Cache is supported in the Netfinity ServeRAID-3H
Ultra2 SCSI adapter (part number 01K7207) and the IBM ServeRAID II
Ultra SCSI adapter (part number 76H3584)
(5) When installed in a ServeRAID II
Ultra SCSI adapter, only 4MB of the battery-backup cache memory is
utilized. The firmware on this adapter must be at level 2.86.03, or
above.
(6) The 8MB Battery Backup Cache
installs on the IBM ServeRAID II Ultra SCSI adapter (part number
76H3584) to help protect against data loss in write-back cache mode
in the event of a power outage or adapter failure. The 32MB cache
(part number 28L1003) installs on ServeRAID-3H (part number
01K7207).
(7) The IBM SSA Entry Storage
Enclosure (part number 3527001) requires IBM SSA RAID adapter (part
number 32H3811) which has connection for two loops with a maximum
of 48 drives per loop. Bays 1 and 5 must contain hard drives.
Appropriate SSA drives must be used.
(8) All ServeRAID-3x adapters can be
upgraded with the same enhanced software utilities and firmware
included with ServeRAID-3HB. Click here
for the ServeRAID upgrade . The upgrade should be considered
for installations with firmware less than Version 3.50.
(9) Netfinity ServeRAID-3L Ultra2
SCSI adapter (part number 01K7364) provides either one internal or
one external (0.8-mm VHDCI) LVDS SCSI channel.
(10) Requires system BIOS level of
7.0 or higher which can be found on BIOS Flash Update Diskette
version 1.04 or higher. Click here for
