Troubleshooting
Problem
When IBM Developer for z/OS v15.0.1 and IBM Engineering Workflow Management v7.0.1 or v7.0.2 are installed in the same Eclipse workbench environment by using the Eclipse p2 provisioning platform on MacOS, connecting to an Engineering Workflow Management repository or Project Area fails.
The following error message displays:
loader constraint violation: when resolving method "org.apache.http.impl.conn.PoolingHttpClientConnectionManager.setDefaultSocketConfig(Lorg/apache/http/config/SocketConfig;)V" the class loader (instance of org/eclipse/osgi/internal/loader/EquinoxClassLoader) of the current class, com/ibm/team/repository/transport/client/RemoteTeamServer, and the class loader (instance of org/eclipse/osgi/internal/loader/EquinoxClassLoader) for the method's defining class, org/apache/http/impl/conn/PoolingHttpClientConnectionManager, have different Class objects for the type org/apache/http/config/SocketConfig used in the signature
Resolving The Problem
To work around this problem:
1. Close Developer for z/OS.
2. Add the -clean parameter to the eclipse.ini file.
3. Restart Developer for z/OS.
4. Retry the repository or Project Area connection.
