Troubleshooting
Problem
Received BMXAA3851E even though admin mode is NOT on
Symptom
Cannot log into Maximo
Cause
Another thing that can cause this issue other then Admin Mode being on, is the database server running out of space. This causes the insert into logintracking to fail on the initial attempt and prompts you with the following message.
BMXAA3851E: Connecting to the server has been temporarily disabled
Diagnosing The Problem
To see if database server space is an issue review your WebSphere system out logs for the following message after trying to log in.
"0000003c SystemOut O 09 Jul 2012 15:55:50:032 [ERROR] BMXAA4211E - Database error number 1105 has occurred when operating on LOGINTRACKING LOGINTRACKINGID=631,598.
[MAXIMO]Could not allocate space for object 'dbo.logintracking'.'logintracking_ndx' in database 'MAXIMO' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full. Create disk space by deleting unneeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup."
Resolving The Problem
To resolve this issue follow the steps in the error message.
1. Check your Database Server's disk space, if it is full clear up enough space to allow for growth of the database.
2. If there enough disk space on the server you will want to check your PRIMARY file group and ensure the data and log files are set for auto growth
