Problem
MustGather (Collecting Data) documents aid in problem determination and save time resolving Problem Management Records (PMRs). This document helps you collect data for IBM Security Directory Server (formerly IBM Tivoli Directory Server, or ITDS) problems related to replication.
Resolving The Problem
Must Gather Replication information based on Directory Server version:
For all versions of Directory Server the basic items Support needs to begin diagnosing any Replication issues are as follows:
- A clear problem description (is this a new setup or a problem with an existing topology).
- The ibmslapd.log and ibmslapd.conf files from SDS/TDS instance, in your replication environment.
- The current replication agreements and status.
- The Directory Server and OS version information.
- A description of the intended replication topology.
- Additionally we may need to collect ASCII, and / or Binary tracing.

For Directory Server Replication issues we need to understand the replication agreements from each system in the topology. To gather this information, run:
idsldapsearch -h <system name> -p <SDS port> -D <adminDN> -w <adminDNpwd> -L -b " " -s sub objectclass=ibm-repl*
To gather the status for a specific replication agreement, refer to the Replication Status using Command Line Utilities technote.

IBM Tivoli Directory Server 6.0 Must Gather Information |
For ITDS 6.0 Replication issues we need to understand the replication agreements from each system in the topology. To gather this information on ITDS 6.0, run:
idsldapsearch -h <system name> -p <TDS port> -D <adminDN> -w <adminDNpwd> -L -b " " -s sub objectclass=ibm-repl*
To gather the status for a specific replication agreement please refer to the Replication Status using Command Line Utilities technote.

For ITDS 5.2 Replication issues Support needs to understand the replication agreements from each system in the topology. To gather this information on ITDS 5.2, run:
