Cobrowse functions fail for CEA applications that are developed using CEA V1.0.0.0 Dojo widgets and then deployed to CEA V1.0.0.1

Troubleshooting

Problem

When you develop a CEA application using CEA Version 1.0.0.0 Dojo widgets and then you deploy the application to CEA V1.0.0.1, cobrowse functions fail.

Resolving The Problem

Complete the following steps to point the CEA application that was developed and deployed with CEA Dojo V1.0.0.0 function to use the newer CEA Dojo V1.0.0.1 or later function:

  1. Change to the following directory, which contains the communications enabled applications that are installed:
    $WAS_HOME/profiles/profile_name/installedApps/cell_name/
    cea_application.ear_file/cea_application.war_file/
You can find your ceadojo directory in this location.

  2. Back up your older ceadojo directory using one of the following operating system-specific commands.

Note: After you back up the directory, ensure that you are now accessing the Web archive (WAR) file path as listed in step 1.

  3. Operating systemCommand
AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Solarismv ceadojo ceadojo.old
    Windowsmove ceadojo ceadojo.old

  4. Run the following command to point the CEA Dojo directory of the installed application to use CEA Dojo V1.0.0.1 or later. The current version of the CEA Dojo function can be found in the $WAS_HOME/feature_packs/cea/javascript/ceadojo path.

  5. Operating systemCommand
    AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Solarisln -s $WAS_HOME/feature_packs/cea/javascript/ceadojo  ceadojo
    Windowsxcopy $WAS_HOME\feature_packs\
    cea\javascript\ceadojo
    $WAS_HOME\profiles\
    profile_name\
    installedApps\cell_name\
    cea_application.ear_file\
    cea_application.war_file\
    ceadojo /e /f /i

  6. Verify that the $WAS_HOME/profiles/profile_name/installedApps/cell_name/cea_application.ear_file/cea_application.war_file/ceadojo directory links to the CEA Dojo V1.0.0.1 or later function, which is located in the $WAS_HOME/feature_packs/cea/javascript/ceadojo path.

For example, on Windows operating systems, verify that the files were successfully copied from the $WAS_HOME\feature_packs\cea\javascript\ceadojo directory to the $WAS_HOME\profiles\profile_name\installedApps\cell_name\cea_application.ear_file\cea_application.war_file\ceadojo directory.

  7. Restart the application or restart the server or cluster.

  8. Ensure that you clear the browser cache before you run the transaction or call.
