CHECK_SYSROUTINE procedure added to SYSTOOLS

You are in: IBM i Technology Updates > Db2 for i - Technology UpdatesDb2 for i Database Engineer (DBE) Enhancements > CHECK_SYSROUTINE procedure added to SYSTOOLS

Many customers have a High Availability configuration where a backup machine needs to exactly match the production environment.

Db2 for i catalog tables are not replicated objects, so entries about Db2 external stored procedures and user-defined functions can cause the catalog tables to be out of sync.

Keeping SQL and external procedure and function database catalog entries in sync across machines is a complex task. Db2 for i is providing a catalog assessment utility that compares a target system's SYSROUTINE catalog with the version on the local system.
