The CD-ROM device does not appear in the resource list for the IBM BladeCenter JS20 and JS21 that the media tray is assigned to.
Affected configurations |

The system may be any of the following IBM BladeCenter:
- BladeCenter JS20, Type 8842, any model
- BladeCenter JS21, Type 7988 and 8844, any model
Solution |

The customer interface card in the media tray may need to be replaced:

Go to the "Hardware VPD" menu from the MM web interface:
- If you see Field Replacement Unit (FRU) 59P6629 for the Media Tray, then you should contact your local IBM Support Center to request replacement customer interface card (CIC) FRU 90P4703 to be installed in the Media Tray.
- If you see a different FRU part number, then proceed with the normal problem determination procedures for the CD-ROM drive.
