Watson OpenScale 3.5 patches
cpd-aiopenscale-3.5.1-patch-1
This patch applies only if you have installed IBM Watson OpenScale version 3.5.1.
Patch name

cpd-aiopenscale-3.5.1-patch-1

Released on 1 September 2021
Service assembly aiopenscale
Applies to service version Watson OpenScale 3.5.1
Applies to platform version Cloud Pak for Data 3.5.1
Patch type
Additive
You must install Watson OpenScale 3.5.1 before you apply this patch.
Description
This patch addresses some of the performance issues with monitor evaluations on wide data sets and huge volumes of data. After you install this patch, you can see an improvement in the time that it takes to generate an explanation and compute fairness and drift.
This patch applies to x86 systems and can be applied only by using the air-gapped clusters installation instructions. You cannot roll back this patch.
Instructions
cpd-aiopenscale-3.5.0-patch-1
This patch applies only if you have installed IBM Watson OpenScale version 3.5.0.
Patch name

cpd-aiopenscale-3.5.0-patch-1

Released on 4 December 2020
Service assembly aiopenscale
Applies to service version Watson OpenScale 3.5.0
Applies to platform version Cloud Pak for Data 3.5.0
Patch type
Additive
You must install Watson OpenScale 3.5.0 before you apply this patch.
Description
This patch adds the ability to do batch processing of large datasets. After you install this patch you can configure Watson OpenScale to work in batch mode. You must have a custom machine learning provider and subscription and then you can configure an Apache Hive database and an Apache Spark analytics engine. The batch processor points to a source database and, working with the already-scored data, it computes and writes metrics to a target database. This means that millions of transactions can be processed without bringing the data into the datamart.
This patch applies to both x86 and POWER systems.

  • Improved time series explanations with "sample_around_instance": true flag.
  • Ability to store features_count attribute in explain config and is used in image explanations.
  • The image function model is enabled.
  • Bigram text explanations generated when using the parameter "ngrams": [2]
  • Trigram text explanations generated when using the parameter "ngrams": [3]
  • Generating explanations by excluding stop words "exclude_stopwords": true. Only for existing unigram explanations. Not applicable in bi/trigram scenario.
