This document lists the available patches for the RStudio Server with R3.6 service on IBM Cloud Pak for Data. Not all versions include patches. Only versions that include patches are shown.

The patch includes the following fixes:
  • sparklyr is now updated to version 1.6.2.
  • Errors after running multiple lines of sparklyr code.
  • Errors after job scheduling in an RStudio environment.
  • Performance issue with the Spark dataframe to R dataframe conversion. 
  • Errors when transforming large data sets from spark to R and vice versa.

  • Inconsistent results for the sparklyr collect() function.

  • TS004045584: Git features are now loaded to the session when launching RStudio against a BitBucket project.
  • TS003957094: There is now the ability to access custom uploaded JDBC Driver in RStudio.
The patch includes the following fix:
  • Fixed issue with some files that cannot be opened in RStudio IDE.
Instructions
Important: If you're installing this patch on OpenShift 4.5, the OpenShift client 4.3.x is required. The oc run command in OpenShift client 4.5.x no longer creates kubernetes jobs.
