How do you assign a unique manufacturing\Expiration date per serial number instead of a lot?
Answer
O OB system provides an option to associate manufacturing date at lot level, that is, a lot can share a manufacturing date.
However if the requirement is that each individual serial should have unique manufacturing and expiration date than the O OB functionality cannot fulfill this requirement.
To achieve the above requirement Secondary serial number can be used.
A serial can have two secondary serial number and manufacturing date and expiration date can be provided in these fields.
To read this fields as manufacturing date and expiration date it is required to change the bundle entries for the console to rename these fields.
Since these fields don't have any validation and allow alpha-numeric characters, dates can be placed in these fields.
