Assets or items cannot be added to technician.

Troubleshooting


Problem

In the My Schedule application, assets or items cannot be added to technician.

Symptom

Assets or items cannot be added by using any of the following three methods:

Scenario 1: Adding asset by edit work order

1. Choose a work order on My Schedule.

2. Click the Edit work order icon.

3. Scroll up to Asset and location and click camera icon. Parts Identifier's home page is opened.

4. Choose Text search, input an assetnum (for example, ASSET211014). Click the assetnum to go to the detail page

5. Click the Select button to return to the Edit work order page.

Asset that was selected in Parts Identifier was not added to the asset field.

Scenario 2: Adding item by using Materials & tools

1. Choose a work order on My Schedule.

2. Click Materials & tools icon.

3. Click the icon at the upper-right corner to open the Material request page.

4. Click the plus (+) icon.

5. Click Item.

6. Click the camera icon. Parts Identifier's home page is opened. 

7. Choose Text search, input an itemnum (for example, ITEM211014). Click the itemnum to go to the detail page.

8. Click Select button at the upper-right corner to go back to Materials list page

Item that was selected in Parts Identifier was not added to the Materials list.

Scenario 3: Adding item by Report work

1. Choose a work order on My Schedule.

2. Click Report work icon.

3. Scroll up to Material used field and click on plus (+) icon.

4. Click Material field.

5. Click the camera icon. Parts Identifier's home page is opened.

6. Start text search by specifying ITEMNUM of the created item and choose the item in the results list.

7. Click the Select button at the upper-right corner to go back to the Add material page.

Item data in Parts Identifier was not added to the Material field or Storeroom field.

Resolving The Problem

Manually add asset or item data to technician.
