  For z/VM 6.4.0, an ABENDXLK001 occurs when using Diagnose
  x'E4' function 3 for a device that is not a DASD device.
  For z/VM 7.1.0, return code 408 (LINK unsuccessful) is
  returned instead of the correct return code of 402 (real
  device RDEVNO is not a DASD).
  

Problem conclusion

• The code in HCPDME has been corrected to return a return code of
  402, real device RDEVNO is not a DASD,  when a non-DASD
  device is specified on function 3 of Diagnose x'E4'.
