Error description

  • The customer used the special character '*' in a password in the
    CMA reset password page and was told the password is invalid.
    According to the error information, this special character
    should be allowed. The error is in the regex for this field in
    the ICM SCE code, it does not support special characters and has
    a mismatch with the password field in the request account page
    and in the user profile page.

    An error message appears when trying to use special characters
    when resetting passwords on CMA 4.2.0.2 (Juno) on z/VM 6.3.  The
    characters in question should be valid and are not treated as
    such.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The regex code in the ICM SCE is changed to correctly accept
    all special characters supported in passwords.
