SE78648: RATIONAL DEVELOPER FOR SYSTEM I - RESEQUENCE-ALL-LINES ACTION LEAVES EDITOR INDICATING NO CHANGES AND SAVE ICON DISABLED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In RDi v9.6.0.12 there is a menu action Resequence All Lines
  under Source on the main menu bar when editing a source member,
  which can be used to evenly renumber the sequence numbers of the
  source lines of the member being edited.
  
  In RDi this action now sets the editor view to incorrectly
  indicate there are no outstanding edit changes to save; which
  further causes the Save icon on the main toolbar to be greyed
  out and disabled. It incorrectly does this even if there were
  unsaved changes before resequencing.
  
  It should be leaving the editor in un-saved state if it already
  was, and setting un-saved state if there were any resequence
  changes to make.
  
  Note: There is a preference under Remote Systems LPEX Editor for
  the resequence settings.  Resequence lines at save can also be
  turned on there to automatically resequence with every editor
  save, which would alleviate any need to manually request a
  resequence.
  
  Workaround:
  Type a few spaces in the editor to once again change the editor
  to un-saved or dirty state after invoking the Resequence All
  Lines action.
