Error description
If a character such as a colon (':') is used as part of the name for an RSE connection the connection will create without problems but not work correctly. Source members may be opened but saving changes will not be successful.
Local fix
Rename the connection to remove characters like ':' that are not valid for the naming of files or directories on the client platform.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * RDi users who define an RSE connection with ':' in the name. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * If an RSE connection is created with a ':' in its name, * * source member saves do not work. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The colon in the name messes up RSE's ability to properly recognize the host location and hence prevents uploads.
Problem conclusion
A fix has been provided in the RDi 9.1.1 update, so that names with ':' don't cause problems.
