    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS Version 3 Release 1
provides new keyword parameter TASKCTL= that controls
maximum number of tasks in parallel.
When you specify the number for IC tasks in the TASKCTL=
keyword, HPIC schedules the specified number of tasks
    in parallel.

  • Documentation Changes:
The documentation is modified as follows:
     =====================================================
IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS, V3R1,
        User's Guide SC18-7617-00 ( SC18761700 ).
     =====================================================

    2.0 Operating Instructions
     2.3 Input
      2.3.5 ICEIN Keywords
    | 2.3.5.14 TASKCTL=
    | The TASKCTL keyword specifies the maximum number of IC subtask
    | in parallel.
    | +-----------------------------------------------------------+
    | | TASKCTL=nnn |
    | +-----------------------------------------------------------+

    | where:
    | nnn
    | is the maximum number of IC subtasks in parallel.
    | The valid value of nnn is 0-255.When the specified
    | value is '0', it is same meaning of TASKCTL=255.
    | When the specified DBDS is HALDB and database is flagged
    | as ONLINE REORG CAPABLE in DBRC, HPIC automatically
    | determines ACTIVE DBDS and uses a active DBDS ddname as
    | input.

    | This keyword does not have a default.

    | Note:
    | When you specified TASKCTL= in GLOBAL statement and
    | GRPLIM= in GROUP statement, the total maximum task numbers
    | is depends on total number of process in parallel. If the
    | total numbers of process in GRPLIM in parallel is less than
    | the number of TASKCTL=, the number of tasks in parallel is
    | total of GRPLIM number. But if the total numbers of process is
    | bigger than TASKCTL= number, total tasks in parallel follows
    | TASKCTL= number.
    | For example:
    | GLOBAL TASKLIM=10
    | GROUP GRPLIM=6,CAGRP=CAG1
    | GROUP GRPLIM=6,CAGRP=CAG2
    | In this case, 6 tasks are assigned for CAG1 group, and
    | 4 tasks are assigned to CAG2 group.
    | If the all tasks for CAG1 is finished before CAG2 process,
    | the task number for CAG2 is not increased.

    | This keyword can be used in the following control statements:
    | GLOBAL

    | This keyword can be defined in site default table.
