Error description
This is a Pointer Checker FABADA1 enhancement to provide three new DDnames. It will provide support of new DD's DAR12, DAR13S and DAR3CS. They will be substitutes for DAR120, DAR13SO and DAR3CSO. This is a forward fit APAR of FPB V1R2 APAR PQ93993.

Comments
This APAR provides a solution for the Fits request MR0720042236. Pointer Checker FABADA1 accepts new DDs DAR12S, DAR13S and DAR3CS. These new DDs are used as alternative DDs to existent DDs DAR12O, DAR13SO and DAR3CSO. Users can specify alternative DDs DAR12, DAR13S and DAR3CS respectively instead of existent DD statements, DAR12O, DAR13SO and DAR3CSO. If both existent DD and alternative DD are specified in the JCL, FABADA1 uses the existent DD. For example, If both DAR12O DD and DAR12 DD are specified, FABADA1 uses DAR12O DD and ignores DAR12 DD. The module FABADA1 has been modified to load DCB address from workarea ADDR@xxx, and to set a value of workarea DDN@xxx to FABA0102I message. The module FABADBCI has been modified to load DCB address from workarea ADDR@xxx. The module FABAFDAR has been modified to load DCB address from workarea ADDR@xxx. The module FABAINIT has been modified to support alternative DDs DAR12, DAR13S, DAR3CS. The module FABASDEP has been modified to load DCB address from workarea ADDR@xxx. The module FABACKCC, FABACNVT, FABADMAC, FABAUMSG, FABA1SB0 have been re-assembled. The macro DA1DCB00 has been modified to add DCB definition of DAR12 DD, DAR13S DD, DAR3CS DD. The macro DA1WRK10 has been modified to add workarea ADDR@xxx and DDN@xxx for supporting alternative DDs. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Documentation Changes: The IMS High Performance Fast Path Utilities for z/OS User's Guide Volume 2: Fast Path Basic Tools Version 2 Release 1 (SC18-9238-00) should be changed as follows: Part 2. DEDB Pointer Checker Utility Chapter 3. Using DEDB Pointer Checker Utility Job Control Language FABADA1 JCL DAR12O DD If this statement is not specified in the JCL and the necessary DD, DAR12 DD statement is used as alternative DD. DAR12 DD When DAR12O DD is not specified in the JCL, this statement is used instead of the DAR12O DD statement. This statement defines the output data set containing the free space and area information records. The data set can reside on either a direct-access device or a tape. Space requirements vary depending on the size of the areas and the number of free space elements. (Approximation: number of CIs in area X 1.5 X 20 bytes.) DAR13SO DD If this statement is not specified in the JCL and the necessary DD, DAR13S DD statement is used as alternative DD. DAR13S DD When DAR13SO DD is not specified in the JCL, this statement is used instead of the DAR13SO DD statement. This statement defines the output data set containing the segment information records for all segments that reside in the root addressable part of the database. The data set can reside on either a direct-access device or a tape. Space requirements vary depending on the size of the areas and the number of segments in the areas. (Approximation: number of segments X 40 bytes.) DAR3CSO DD If this statement is not specified in the JCL and the necessary DD, DAR3CS DD statement is used as alternative DD. DAR3CS DD When DAR3CSO DD is not specified in the JCL, this statement is used instead of the DAR3CSO DD statement. This statement defines the output data set containing all pointer information records and the segment information records for all segments that reside in IOVF and SDEP. The data set can reside on either a direct-access device or a tape. Space requirements vary depending on the size of the areas and the number of segments in the areas. (Approximation: number of segments X 1.5 X 26 bytes.)
