Error description
Rows are being flagged incorrectly as updated when edits are made in zoom mode to hex data. * Max Char Display 80 Edit table leftmost cols look like this: Cmd S BANK_PTR 0000000001 0000000002 0000000003 0000000005 0000000006 0000000007 0000000008 0000000009 0000000010 Hit enter with other changes made it look like: Cmd S BANK_PTR U 0000000001 U 0000000002 U 0000000003 U 0000000005 U 0000000006 U 0000000007 U 0000000008 U 0000000009 U 0000000010 This indicates that we have edited the data. We have not done this. Scroll right on the screen to find the yellow updates we can see: Cmd S EPOSTADR U . . U . . U . . U . . U . . U . . U . . U . . U . . The decimal points in pos 2 and 42 are highlighted in yellow. Hex zoom on one of the lines show: ----+----1----+----2----+----3----+----4--- . . 4444444444444444444444444444444444444444444 0B000000000000000000000000000000000000000B0 And it is the 4B¿s showing as decimal points as it should. For some reason Table Editor thinks these 4B¿s are updates made by TE. It is not. A hex display of the unloaded data shows: ..0000000001 . . 02FFFFFFFFFF43444444444444444444444444444444444444444344444444 0B00000000010F000000000000000000000000000000000000000F00000000 Here we can see that the character in the original data is hex 3F. We have also tried to exclude all cols except the failing one and the same thing occurs. When you first enter the table in edit mode it is ok, hit enter and the hex char is changed From 3F to 4B.
