  • HP Load issuesU3737 amd msgHPSR3737E indicating that record
size is an ODD length. SHISAM supports ODD record lengths but
HISAM does not.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HP Load terminates with ABEND U3737     *
*                      (ABENDU3737) MSGHPSR3737E because       *
*                      record size of SHISAM is an odd length. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
****************************************************************
HP Load checks a odd length record for SHISAM DB and terminates
with ABEND U3737 (ABENDU3737) and MSGHPSR3737E. But the odd
length of SHISAM record is allowed by IMS.

Problem conclusion

  • HP Load utility has been modified as follows:
 - HPSRPDBD has been modified not to check a odd length record
   for SHISAM database.
