PQ74117: IQCFCKPT OUTPUT SHOWS INVALID YEAR 003 INSTEAD OF 2003 FOR CHECKPOINT RECORD

Error description

• IQCFCKPT output chkpt record has incorrect year displayed.
  The output may show as follows:
  CHKPT    D=2003.115,T=19:22:52.441502,Z=+09:00              SIMP
  CHKPT    D= 003.115,T=19:00:00.075348,Z=+09:00              RSRT
  where one or more lines has '003' instead of '2003 specified for
  the year.
  This in turn could cause the following IQCSELCT job to end with
  an RC=08 (checkpoint not found).

  *                 In some cases the output is incorrect-       *
  *                 invalid year (lost 2 of year 2003)           *
  *                 The output for IQCFCKPT is as follows.       *
  *                 CHKPT    D=2003.115,T=19:22:52.441502,Z=+09: *
  *                 CHKPT    D= 003.115,T=19:00:00.075348,Z=+09: *
  *                                                              *
  *                 CHKPT    D= 003.115,T=19:26:31.206562,Z=+09: *
  *                 CHKPT    D= 003.115,T=19:34:59.409196,Z=+09: *
  *                 As a result, following IQCSELECT job failed  *
  *                 with cc=8.                                   *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In some cases IMS puts a mask x'80' in  *
  *                      the first byte of year (in log records  *
  *                      x'4200'). IQCFCKPT unpacks the year-    *
  *                      x'A003115F' is converted to             *
  *                      .003.115. The first byte of year is     *
  *                      not correct.                            *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  Because of mask X'80' in the first byte of timestamp in log
  records x'4200', the converted date/time information for the
  checkpoint is not correct.
  

Problem conclusion

• IQCFCKPT has been changed to reset the mask in the first byte
  of timestamp information for log records X'4200'
  and to create a valid year in date / time information for the
  checkpoins.
