Error description

  • Message IPI0003I is issued with an incorrect date.
Additional symptom is loop in Transit processing.
Another symptom: abend0c7 in IPISMCPS PQ55317 at x'1154'

Local fix

  • The problem can be avoided by specifying PARM=V810
on the Report JCL EXEC card.

Message IPI0003I is issued with an incorrect date.
Additional symptoms:
1. Various ABEND0Cx when processing IMS V8
   type 36 log records because the UTC offset
   has changed.
2. Loop in Transit EOF processing.
Problem only occurs when the IMS SDFSRESL library
is used to establish the IMS release.
Problem can be avoided by specifying PARM=V810
in the Report JCL.

Problem conclusion

  • Module IPIPINIT has been updated to recognize the
IMS release and pass it on to record processing.
Module IPIPRS81 has been updated to avoid a
potential loop in Transit EOF processing.
